Azerbaijan detains over 50 people for border violation

Fifty-three people were detained in September for violating Azerbaijan’s state borders, the Azerbaijani State Border Service told Trend.
Among the detainees are 19 citizens of Azerbaijan, nine citizens of Uzbekistan, two citizens of Russia, two citizens of Tajikistan, 16 citizens of Iran, one citizen of Afghanistan, one citizen of South Africa, one citizen of Syria, one citizen of Egypt, and one citizen of Congo.
Also, more than 28 kilograms of drugs were revealed and seized as a result of measures for combating illicit drug trafficking in September.
