Telecommunications infrastructure of Jojug Marjanli to be expanded
By Rashid Shirinov
The numbering capacity of the fixed telephone network in the Jojug Marjanli village, liberated from the Armenian occupation, will be expanded.
Azerbaijan’s state communication operator Aztelekom told Trend that the expansion work will be carried out when new houses are built here.
Today, Jojug Marjanli enjoys all necessary telecommunications infrastructure. The village has cable and sewer facilities, local network infrastructure with a length of 1,200 meters and telephone with numbering capacity of 64 units. Moreover, an optical line with a length of about 10 kilometers was laid to the village.
At the initial stage, 50 houses, a school and objects of national importance got telephone and Internet connections.
Given the fact that 100 houses will be additionally built in Jojug Marjanli, the telecommunication network will be expanded by installing additional equipment, creation of distribution network and increasing of ports.
The return of Jojug Marjanli was an important step in Azerbaijan’s liberation of native lands from the Armenian aggression.
In late January 2017, President Ilham Aliyev ordered to restore the village. Under the order, 4 million manats were allocated for the construction of 50 private houses, a school, a mosque and other relevant infrastructure at the first stage. Moreover, President signed an order on additional measures to construct the road leading to the village and allocated 4.3 million manats from the state budget for the construction of a 9-km long highway.
This work has been finalized in Jojug Marjanli, now people return to the village, and the government moves to the second stage of its restoration.
