Azerbaijan’s embassy in the Czech Republic held a reception on 28 May - the Republic Day of Azerbaijan.
The reception was attended by Jan Hamáček, Chair of the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic, head of the Azerbaijan-Czech working group on inter-parliamentary relations, governmental dignitaries, diplomats, public figures and representatives of Azerbaijani diaspora, Azertac reported.
Hamáček, adressing the event, said the cooperation relations between the two countries are at high level.
He stressed that Azerbaijan is an important partner of the Czech Republic in the South Caucasus.
“The two countries enjoy close cooperation in the political, economic and in particular, energy fields. The parliamentary ties between Azerbaijan and the Czech Republic would further deepen and strengthen,” the Chair of the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic underlined.
Azerbaijani ambassador to the Czech Republic Farid Shafiyev expressed gratitude to the Czech side, hoping for future strengthening of bilateral relations.
