Role of sports in promoting intercultural dialogue highlighted within 4th World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue
Organized by United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) a plenary session “Sports for intercultural dialogue and peace” has been held as part of the 4th World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue.
The event was moderated by Caroline Baxter Tresise, Consultant, UNESCO Bangkok.
Other speakers at the event included Rector of Azerbaijan State Academy of Physical Culture and Sport Fuad Hajiyev, Nevena Vukašinović, Secretary General, European Non-Governmental Sports Organisation (ENGSO), Sue Glassey, Chair of the International Federation of Muaythai Amateur Female Commission and former World champion boxer, Joel Bouzou, President and Founder, Peace and Sport, President, World Olympians Association, Vahid Shahbazi, Iranian Athlete.
