Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev received Minister of Communications and Information Technology of the Islamic Republic of Iran Mahmoud Vaezi in Baku on March 17, Azertac reported.
Vaezi congratulated President Aliyev and the people of Azerbaijan on the occasion of Novruz holiday.
The head of state also congratulated the Iranian minister and the people of Iran on the upcoming holiday.
They hailed Azerbaijan-Iran bilateral relations as excellent. The importance of President Aliyev's successful official visit to Iran was emphasized at the meeting.
They exchanged views on the state of implementation of the North-South transport corridor, prospects for cooperation in the banking sector, and a number of other issues.
