Police draw up identikit of general`s killer - report
An identikit of the killer of Rail Rzayev, the
commander of Azerbaijan`s air force who was murdered on February 11
has been drawn up, law enforcement sources told local news website

According to the online news agency, law enforcement officials have achieved tangible advances in investigating the general`s murder. Thus, certain clarity has been brought to the circumstances of the incident with the aid of security cameras installed near Rzayev`s home and eyewitness accounts.
Investigators have ascertained that the killer is middle-aged. The identikit is being kept confidential, at this point, due to the ongoing investigation. The investigative group currently continues searching for the killer.
Lt.-Gen. Rzayev was killed by an unknown gunman in Baku while in his service car during the morning hours. Rzayev, 64, who also acted as Deputy Minister of Defense, died after being shot once in the head outside his home in the Yasamal district. Although the general had been rushed to a military hospital with a bullet wound, it was impossible to save his life. President Ilham Aliyev has condemned the crime and ordered law enforcement agencies to quickly investigate the murder.
