Russia's Caspian Flotilla, Azerbaijani Navy mull organisation of "Sea Cup-2017"

Commander of the Caspian flotilla, Rear Admiral Sergey Pinchuk held a working meeting with the delegation of Azerbaijani Naval Forces.

The sides exchanged views on the issues of the organization and conduct of the "Sea Cup-2017" contests for naval training among the crews of surface ships, at the meeting, which took place in the base for the stationing of warships in Makhachkala, Azertac reported.

Later, the Azerbaijani delegation got acquainted with the Training and Education Complex "Caspian" and the command post of training field for Marine "Scorpion", where the stages of international contests "Sea Cup-2016" and "Caspian Cup-2015" were held.

The Cup of the Caspian Sea is held in the framework of the International Army Games. This year Azerbaijan will be among the host countries of the International Army Games 2017 along with China, Belarus and Kazakhstan.

The Army Games have become the modern form of military training. Last year, Azerbaijan successfully performed in the Games held in Russia.

Participating in the contests "Tank biathlon" and "Caspian Sea Cup" of the international military competition, representatives of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces become the winners of the various stages in both categories and represented the country at the highest level.
