Serbia will initiate abolishing visa regime with Azerbaijan.
The issue was discussed at the meeting considering the visa policy of Serbia attended by country's First Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic, Deputy Prime Minister, Interior Minister Nebojsa Stefanovic and Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications Rasim Ljajic.
The participants agreed to continue the policy of simplification
of the visa regime with as many countries as possible in order to
improve bilateral political relations, attract foreign investment
and intensify economic and tourist cooperation, according to the
Serbian government .
In this regard, it was decided to initiate the procedure for
abolishing visas with Azerbaijan, Armenia and Georgia for ordinary
passport holders, and to initiate the abolition of visas with a
certain group of countries for holders of diplomatic and official
passports.
Recently Azerbaijan included Serbia to the list of 81 countries, whose citizens will be able to take advantage of ASAN Visa system, aiming to make life of many foreigners easier.
The presidential order signed in June 2016 aimed at simplification of e-visas issuance procedure for foreigners and stateless persons arriving in Azerbaijan, as a result of which, they will be able to obtain visas within three days.
