Mexican Cinema Days due in Baku

Azerbaijan’s capital city of Baku is hosting another interesting cultural event this month.
The Mexican Cinema Days, jointly organized by Azerbaijan’s
Culture and Tourism Ministry and the Mexican Embassy in the
country, have been launched at Nizami Cinema.
Aimed to strengthen cultural ties between the two states, the event
will familiarize Azerbaijani audience with the samples of Mexican
cinema.
Secretary of the Azerbaijan Cinematographers Union Ayaz Salayev, addressing the event said that the Days will bring Bakunians closer to Mexican film industry.
Mexican Ambassador Juan Rodrigo Flores Labardini, in turn, highlighted relations between Mexico and Azerbaijan, noting that the bilateral ties are developing successfully in the sphere of culture. The ambassador underlined the importance of Mexican Cinema Days in this regard.
“Hobo Life” film opened the festival, which will also presents films "Macario" on December 8, "Hope" on December 9, "Heirs" on December 10 and "Pearl" on December 12. All the films start at 12:00.
The films were dubbed into Azerbaijani by “Leader” TV channel.
The venue of the
Days is Nizami Cinema, located at the 20, Bulbul Avenue. The
entrance is free.
So far, Baku audience has had the opportunity to fall in love with Mexican cinema thanks to such dramas as "The Rich Also Cry", "Simply Maria" and "Wild Rose".
