ART EN CAPITAL 2015, which is held under the patronage of French President Francois Hollande, has been opened in a large historic site of Paris Grand Palais.

The exhibition, which showcases art works of best artists and sculptors from across the world, also included the paintings of Azerbaijani artist Nigar Narimanbayova, who is extremely popular in France.

As many as 2,000 artists from different countries put their works on display at the event.

“I am happy to represent Azerbaijan for the second time at such a prestigious art event,” the artist said. “This is the legendary Salon of Independent Artists, founded in 1884 by the great masters such as Georges Seurat, Paul Signac, Cezanne, Tuluz- Lautrec, Gauguin and Pissarro.”

“People rushed to the exhibition. It is truly a great, legendary event in the artistic life of the world. Legendary Autumn Salon dictates trends and fashion in art for future years,” Narimanbayova said.

The artist presented a diptych consisting of two paintings from her "All of life is a theater" series. The diptych consists of two flat plates -- “Apotheosis of Love” and “Nostalgia” attached by a hinge.

“Audience loves my creativity and I am very pleased to note this, as the crowd of people gathered around my paintings. They made great compliments, noting that they came because of me to enjoy my paintings again. They also asked about my country and my family history, which merges the two great cultures - French and Azerbaijani,” she shared her impressions.

The prestigious Parisian magazine entitled SALON DES ARTISTES INDEPENDANTS, GRAND PALAIS 2015 devoted the whole page to the creativity of the talented artist.

Recently, the jury of the Pierre Cardin Salon Business Art awarded Stella Art International Association, which also includes Narimanbeyova, Grand Prix.

Chairman of the jury, the famous French sculptor, Jean Charles Ashe, highlighted the work of Azerbaijani artist, calling her creativity enchanting.

Moreover, recently as part of "Russian diary in Paris. Classic" art project held in the Russian Science and Culture Center in Paris, Narimanbeyova’s "Adagio" was recognized as the best in the opinion of the audience and was awarded a diploma of the Russian Academy of Arts.

Narimanbayova, who divides her time between Paris and Baku, graduated from the Azim Azimzade Azerbaijan State Art School and the Gerasimov All-Union State Institute of Cinematography in Moscow.

She has participated in a number of national and international art exhibitions in France, Germany, Austria, and Azerbaijan.

The artist is a member of the Union of Artists of Azerbaijan and the International Association of Art. Her paintings have been put on display in the exhibition halls of the Azerbaijani Culture and Tourism Ministry, Azerbaijan National Museum of Art, as well as in private collections.
