British company shoots film about Azerbaijani talented musician
By Amina Nazarli
The famous English company Crane.tv has shot a documentary film
about creative people of several countries.
Today, only a few select musicians in Azerbaijan represent the
country's jazz across the globe. Similarly, not some many musicians
have gone through such an eventfully rich, and sometimes stormy,
period of development.
But Rain Sultanov, one of the leading Azerbaijan's saxophone
player represented the country in this film.
During the film, the honored artist spoke about Azerbaijani
national, classic and jazz music. The Azerbaijan's saxophonist
talked about how classical, jazz and traditional Mugham influences
have converged in his works.
Sultanov's implacable desire to be the best in his career has proved to be his strongest feature; spending all his time on his music and practicing. He is certainly an artist - appreciated by those finely tuned to the highest art. Rain's music is thoughtful and suffused with significance.
As a performer of Chaykovski, Mozart and Weber compositions, Sultanov has participated in many international festivals.
Crane.tv is a storytelling and publishing company incorporating a video magazine and a branded entertainment agency.
The company focuses on the makers, writers, builders and dreamers throughout the creative industries. Big names are important but they're not afraid to take a risk on a rookie, so we pride ourselves in discovering new talent.
The company usually likes to find unexpected viewpoints. Fashion weeks, design, art and film festivals are covered already in the traditional sense.
