Azerbaijan’s national music performed in Canada
By Sara Rajabova
The great national music of Azerbaijan was performed in a concert held in Canada.
The concert was held as part of Day of Azerbaijani Music held within Music Niagara International Festival in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Canada.
"Araz Dance" group organized by Azerbaijanis living in Toronto performed a concert including Azerbaijan's national music and dances, the Azerbaijani Embassy in Canada said.
The ensemble performs frequently in cultural events like Toronto Turkish Festival, Carassauga Festival and so on.
Councilor of Azerbaijani Embassy, Eljan Habibzade noted that Azerbaijan's performance at "Music Niagara" has turned into a traditional part of the international festival.
H said holding such festival is highly important for improving intercultural relations between two sides and introducing Azerbaijan's culture to Canadians.
"Music Niagara" annually showcases amazing music in Ontario in matchless settings. The festival brings together great artists and audiences in venues rich with culture and history. The musical gems sparkle even more brightly in the unique Niagara-on-the-Lake settings which complement each one - jazz under the stars, Vivaldi in the vineyards, chamber music works in historic churches, and more.
