Bard Song Festival underway in Baku

The 10th jubilee International Festival of Bard Song is underway in Baku State Song Theatre named after Rashid Behbudov.
Organized by Baku Bard Song Club with the assistance of Azerbaijan's Youth and Sports Ministry, the event has brought together about 80 bards from Russia, Georgia, Ukraine, Belarus, Latvia, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Israel, USA, Canada, Germany and France.
The festival, which will run until July 21, is dedicated to the 90th anniversary of Bulat Okudzhava and the 80th anniversary of Yuri Vizbor, the founders of the Bard Song, as well as the 40th anniversary of the Baku Bard Song Club.
A series of evenings have already been held within the framework of the festival. The concert "Without Guitar" was held featuring representatives of Azerbaijan - Alina Talybova, Nigar Huseynzade, Solmaz Suleymanli, Said Subhi, Oksana Bulanova, Javid Imamverdiyev, and Ibrahim Imamaliev and Samir Radjabov. Moreover, guests from Russia and Ukraine, as well as their Azerbaijani counterparts performed at the scene of the theater.
Moreover, residents and guests of Baku will be able to enjoy Bard Songs in Baku State Song Theatre on the following days. Thus, members of the "EAST" oldest club of the Bard Song from St. Petersburg, Boris Poloskin, Valentin Vikhorev, Alexander Timofeev, Vladimir Shemshuchenko, Sergey Ilyin and Mikhail Semenenko will perform with on July 12.
Vadim Hefter (Donetsk), Oleg Rubansky (Kiev), Dmitry Dolgov (Kiev) and Olga Artyomenko (Kiev) will congratulate Azerbaijani club for its anniversary of its establishment on July 13. Meanwhile, authors from Georgia and the North Caucasus, Vakhtang Aroshidze (Tbilisi), Giorgi Chkoniya (Tbilisi), Nikolay Jincharadze (Tbilisi), Boris Grigoriyev (Kislovodsk), Sergey Boiler (Krasnodar) and Tatiana Sankina (Pyatigorsk) will perform on July 14.
The concerts, featuring artists from USA, Israel, Georgia, Canada, Russia, Belarus, Lithuania and Germany, will also be held on July 15-21.
