Azerbaijani is going to hold the BACARART project in 2014.

The project seeks to support the creativity of economically disadvantaged children and those deprived of parental care.

The joint project pioneered by YARAT, a not-for-profit organization, and the State Committee on Family, Women and Children's Affairs, was launched for the first time in fall 2012.

The primary purpose of the project is the development of the creative potential of gifted children from different Azerbaijani regions.

The unprecedented outcome of the project inspired YARAT and the Committee to increase cooperation and hold the project on an annual basis.

The project will reach 11 regions of the country this year -Shuvalan, Goygol, Sabirabad, Ismailly, Zardab, Hajiqabul, Zagatala, Saatly, Gabala, Goranboy, and Aghdam.

Fifty gifted children and teenagers will take part in the project's classes, and eminent Azerbaijani artists, including Ramal Kazimov, Vusal Rahim, Nazrin Mammadova, Sitara Ibrahimova, Farkhad Farzaliyev, and Reza Khazare, are expected to demonstrate their teaching abilities.

During the second phase of the project, the participants and trainers will keep communication within the framework of the summer art-school, which will be organized at one of the following regions: Guba, Zagatala, Nabran, or Sheki.

Picturesque landscapes, being far away from busy cities and a relaxed atmosphere will help reveal the creative potential that every child is endowed with.

The final exhibition of the project proceedings will fall under a series of events dedicated to celebration of the 25th anniversary of UN Convention on the Rights of the Child in November 2014.

The upcoming benefit night can be a debut for most of participants and enable them to raise extra funds for their future career and development.

Several prominent Azerbaijani artists - Orkhan Huseynov, Farid Rasulov, Rashad Alakbarov, Faig Ahmad, and Jemma Sattar - as well as photographers - Fakhriya Mammadova, Sanan Alasgarov, and Sitara Ibrahimova - participated in the project implementation in October 2012.

Under their guidance, the emerging BACARART participants acquired skills on the fundamentals of composition, drawing, collage, and fine art photography.

All the works created at the master class were exhibited later at Kempinski Badamdar hotel. The benefit night was attended by top business and diplomatic corps representatives, public figures, and men of art.

The auction helped children realize what a serious progress we could achieve in children's creativity development if organizations like YARAT are involved.

Many project participants were convinced to mull the development of an artistic career and commit themselves to the world of art.

All funds raised at the benefit night were forwarded to support the families of the BACARART project participants.
