Charity Easter Bazaar kicks off in Baku

The 4th charity Easter Bazaar opened at the Russian Information and Cultural Center in Baku on April 10.

The bazaar is co-organized by the Russian Embassy in Azerbaijan and the Baku-Azerbaijan eparchy of Russian Orthodox Church.

The Easter bazaar aims to collect funds for orphans. You can buy original costume jewelry, colorful Azerbaijan scarves, the products of Azerbaijan's masters of painting and woodcarving, natural church honey, and certainly, Easter cakes.

The children's hands made ​​of the Children's home number 3 in Baku and children of employees of the Russian Embassy in Azerbaijan attracted visitors' special interest.

The event brought together MPs, representatives of foreign countries` diplomatic missions to Azerbaijan, and cultural and public figures including: Belarusian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Nikolay Patskevich, Senior Advisor of the Russian Embassy Alexandr Gladkov, Head of the Representative of Rossotrudnicestvo Valentin Denisov, representative of the Archbishop of Baku and Azerbaijan Eparchy Konstantin Pominov.

The visitors had a chance to try delicious food and sweets, and children were able to have lots of fun in a special corner designed for them with face painting and many games.

A lottery was also held during the event.
