Azerbaijan's dancers win gold in England

Azerbaijani dancers have got the gold medals in an international tournament in UK.

The Universal International Dancing tournament 2014 was held in England. It came ahead of UK Open 2014.

Azerbaijan's duo Eldar Jafarov and Anna Sazhina won the gold medals in the Professional Standard category. Russia's Artem Pakhotniy and Inna Berliziyeva ranked second. Canada's Anton Lebedev and Anna Borsch won bronze medals.

Another category of the tournament was Youth Standard in which Russia's Evgeniy Lekh, Kseniya Evdokimova, Artemiy Katashinskiy and Marina Katashinskaya ranked respectively first and second while Freythor Ossunrarson and Sophie Webb from England ranked third.

In the Youth Latin category, the first three places were shared between Ádám Hatházi and Morgana Lakatos from Canada, Phillip Kudryavtsev and Ashley Goldman from USA and Gong Chao Qun & Zhuo Lian Wei from China.

Dancers also competed in categories like Amateur Standard , Amateur Latin and Professional Latin.

Eldar Jafarov and Anna Sazhina also won bronze medals of the BDF Star Ball 2014 international tournament in Epsom on January 15. They gained the same result at the European Championships held in Russia in the end of 2013.

As the master of sports at international class and world champions in various events, Eldar Jafarov and Anna Sazhina are the founders of the Professional Dance Union in Azerbaijan (AzDC).

Moreover, they are the winners of international tournaments, held in Russia, Germany, England, USA, Canada, France, Holland, Austria, Italy, America, Canada, Japan, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia.

Universal, which was held on the eve of UK Open severs as a warm up for an important event which started on January 19. Azerbaijani duo will participate in UK Open, which is already underway.
