Azerbaijan, Croatia eye cultural ties
Azerbaijani Culture and Tourism Minister Abulfas Garayev has met a Croatian delegation led by Tourism Minister Darko Lorencin, who visited Baku to attend the Shah Deniz 2 Final Investment Decision Signing Ceremony, AzerTag state news agency reported.
Garayev briefed the delegation on the cultural achievements and tourism potential of the country.
The minister said Azerbaijan attached great importance to cooperation with in the fields of culture and tourism.
Garayev invited the Croatian counterpart to participate in a meeting of the UN World Tourism Organization to be held in Baku in April, 2014.
The sides also exchanged views on prospects for the Azerbaijan- Croatia cooperation in the tourism sphere.
Croatian ambassador to Azerbaijan Drajen Hrastic was present at the meeting.
