Azerbaijani singer to join song contest in Turkey

Azerbaijani singer Tunzala Aghayeva will participate at the "Turkvision-2013" song contest in Turkey, Azertag state news agency reported on Sept 11.
The 4th International Turkish Music Festival, which is organized in cooperation with Turkish broadcaster TRT and Denizli Municipality, will bring together music lovers in one language on Sept.11-14. Thousands of participants and millions of viewers will go on a musical journey with outstanding songs.
Turkvision-2013 will feature singers from more than 20 Turkic-speaking countries from the Balkans and East Asia this year.
TRT Director General Ibrahim Shahin cited the motto of the festival as "one heart, one language". According to Shahin, the festival will play an important role in the acknowledgement and closely linking nations as well as the creation of the bonds of love and recognition of cultures.
During the first three days, popular artists of the participating countries will share their songs and emotions with the concerts they will give in Denizli. Arrangements were made in Denizli Open Air Threatre, Incilipinar Park and Adalet Park, according to the official website of the contest.
The festival will build a musical bridge from East Asia to the Balkans.
On the last day, in the final show, which will take place in the Pamukkale ancient theatre with a capacity of 20,000 people, artists of the participating countries will be on stage to sing Turkish songs and folk songs.
The festival, which was aired on only TRT Müzik and TRT Avaz in the earlier years, will be presented live to the audience this year, along with the public TV channels of most countries taking part in the event. Thanks to these cooperated broadcasts, millions of people will share the same feelings by means of Turkish songs and folk songs.
The festival will be broadcast live by the Azerbaijan Public Television and Radio Broadcasting Company at 23:00 Baku time on Sept 11.
