Future Shorts comes back with summer season

YARAT! Contemporary Art Space, an organization dedicated to the promotion and popularization of contemporary art worldwide and Future Shorts Film Festival -- the largest international short film pop-up festival, has announced the Summer Season 2013 in Baku.
The summer season will be traditionally screened at the Green Theatre at 9.00 p.m. on September 14.
In 10 years of showcasing electrifying short films and filmmakers from around the world in stunning venues, Future Shorts have built the world's largest community for short film fans - from Finland to Mexico, via Mongolia and Kazakhstan.
In 90 countries, the world's largest pop-up short film festival allows anyone, anywhere to run a film festival and be part of a global community.
This Summer Season includes six critically acclaimed short films sourced from around the world.
Boneshaker (USA, 2012) by Frances Bodomo is a portrait of the struggles of an African family lost in America.
The award-winning La Huida (Spain, 2011) by Victor Carrey is a narrative puzzle, and the deconstruction of an event from a variety of prismatic viewpoints.
The Pirate of Love (Iceland, 2013) by Sara Gunnarsdottir is an animated feature about the outsider musician Daniel C.
The Hidden Smile (Spain, 2011) by Venture Durall constructs a realistic tale on the values that flourish in a society formed by children.
Irish Folk Furniture (Ireland, 2012) by Tony Donoghue is an animated documentary about traditional Irish furniture and winner at Sundance 2013 for Best Animation short film.
Volume (UK, 2012) by Mahalia Belo, about the mysterious disappearance of Georgina, from the perspective of her neighbour Sam.
Future Cinema, the creators of Future Shorts and Secret Cinema, create large-scale cinematic experiences, fusing feature film with music, theatre and live performance, in 300 cities.
Future Shorts is the product of 10 years of audience development, experimentation and of reacting to the demand for another way of experiencing film.
