Baku to host "The world of fairy tales in Italy" exhibition
Exhibition titled "The world of fairy tales in Italy" will be held in Baku on March 4 with the organization of the Azerbaijan State Art Academy and VIVA BELLA company .
The Academy reported that Montedragone collection of porcelain dolls and flowers will be put on display at the exhibition which will mark the international Women's Day.
Montedragone collection by Stefania Rossetti includes over 200 dolls, elves, fairies, gnomes, sprites, and witches. All have articulated joints, and some also have articulated elbows and knees. The body is air-brushed while the faces are hand painted. The dolls clothing is hand-made using designer fabrics, such as lace, silk, velvet, brocade, wool and cotton, and accented with flowers, leaves, berries, woven trim work, wooden beads, and tiny bells.
