Magnificent Viennese Ball held in Baku

What woman of fashion would not crave to enjoy a real Viennese Ball? Nice music, lavish and magnificent dresses and, certainly, the glitter of jewelry would attract anyone to such an event.

For the first time, with the assistance of the City of Vienna and the Embassy of Austria, the Azerbaijani capital Baku hosted the Viennese Ball on October 20. And what can be a more suitable venue for such a splendid event than a palace? Playing the role of a symbolic palace was Grand Ballroom Gebele Kempinski Hotel Badamdar. It stood out for the interior, arranged in classic style, nicely floating colors of crystal chandeliers and an integral part of the ball, a small string band orchestra playing tunes from the compositions of prominent composers of the past centuries.

A dress code was required: nightgowns for women and reserved outfits for men.

The conduct of legendary balls is carefully planned, including costumes and the program of the party.

Special attention is paid to newcomers. The Baku event was opened by the debutants of Baku Oxford School, who had been prepared earlier by the school dance teacher and during the last few days by Christian Tichy, choreographer of Vienna State Opera Theater, who directs Viennese Ball on a regular basis, but is directing such an event in Baku for the first time!

The City of Vienna was represented by
Dr. Susanne Brandsteidl, President of Vienna School Board, Dipl. Ing. Rudi Schicker, and
Marcela Cerno, Vienna Press and Information Services.

Baku Steel Company, AKKORD and Gazelli supported the event as well.

Special gifts for debutants included gift vouchers worth 100 manats from Patrick Hellmann and cosmetics sets from Christian Breton, who also provided make-up.

A buffet of traditional Austrian dishes was prepared by Chef Johann Pichler, who was invited by Kempinski specifically for this event.

The City of Vienna was very satisfied with the level of organization and confirmed its cooperation with Kempinski Hotel Badamdar on Viennese Ball 2013!

Life is dull and monotonous, and is a far cry from a fairy tale, many complain. But the organizers of the Viennese Ball have proven that in the commonness of our everyday life there is room for a miracle!
