Islamic culture to be displayed in Louvre
BAKU – A section on Islamic culture is expected to open at France’s Louvre museum in 2012 with the Azerbaijani government’s support, its director Henri Loyrette has said on a visit to Baku.
"I must say that your president is taking interest in this both in terms of art and politics," he said in a meeting with Minister of Culture and Tourism Abulfas Garayev on Wednesday.
