Baku Book Center offers you a fascinating insight into the French culture.

The Center invites you to the meeting with the famous French composer, clarinetist and writer Elios Azule on December 18.

The composer will present his book "All is Music" in Baku , Yenicag reported.

Elios Azule will also delight the guests of Baku Book Center with wonderful music pieces.

His musical creativity is diverse - it includes orchestral and chamber works, songs and jazz.

Elios Azule is also a researcher of music composed by prisoners of Nazi concentration camps.

The event starts at 19:00.

Notably, a mono-opera "May 30, 1431" by the world-famous French composer will be presented for the first time in Baku. The event will take place at YARAT Contemporary Art Space on December 20.

The opera is based on Victor Ulmann’s unfinished opera Jeanne Dark (written in Auschwitz in 1943) and the poem " La Reverie De Mengele", where the leading roles will be played by soprano Farida Mamedov and Elios Azoule himself.

The Baku Book Center offers a wide range of books of various genres in Azerbaijani, Russian, Turkish, English, Chinese, French, German, Arabic and other languages. There is a convenient search for the right book thanks to the installed touch monitors.

The Center was created under the initiative and with the support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation on August 28. President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva attended the opening and cut the ribbon symbolizing the inauguration of the center. The head of state and his spouse wished success to the activities of the Baku Book Center. It was officially opened to visitors on September 1, 2018.

It is located near the Khagani park (Molokan garden) on an intersection of Uzeir Hajibeyov and Gogol streets and occupies an area of 2,500 square meters. The book center was built on the site of the former hospital. The building was not demolished, just restored.
