World Folk Dance Cup has been held in Baku. The dance competitions was co-organized by the Azerbaijan Youth Union and the Azerbaijan Dance Association under the auspices of the World Federation of Art and Dance (WADF), Trend Life reported.

Best dancers from Azerbaijan, Georgia, Ukraine, Russia, Uruguay, Sweden and Italy competed in ethnic folklore, traditional dance (stylization of folk dance) and Bollywood (Indian dance) for two days. In the overall standings, 1963 participants took part in the final.

The President of the Azerbaijan Dance Association and Deputy chairman of the Azerbaijani Youth Union shared his thoughts about the World Folk Dance Cup in Baku.

"It's a great honor for us to host such a high level of competition in Azerbaijan. The dancers showed an incredibly high level, and the guests and judges were delighted with the finalists' performances. This was not just a dance festival, but a real triumph of popular dance productions in our country! "said Aziz Azizov.
