Young and talented Azerbaijani artists Esmira Gulakhmadova and Jamali Rahmanli will present their works at the second International Festival of Contemporary Art "French Riviera"

The art festival will be held in Cannes, France on December 1-3, which will bring together artists from France, Germany, Great Britain, Italy, Portugal and other countries.

Esmira`s painting ‘The Fire Cock’ is made with acrylic on canvas in a very expressive manner.

“This bird is the symbol of the current year. The mythological image of the fiery cock connects it with the Sun, like a rooster announces the beginning of the day. In some, fiery is the transformation of heavenly fire. Its image is widely spread in various cultures,” she said.

The exposition of the festival will include one more work by young artist which was previously presented at three exhibitions.

“This work is very bright, expressive and aggressive, it is the beginning of the series ‘Horses’. This is one of my favorite works, it displays the Karabakh horses, one of the national symbols of Azerbaijan,” said Esmira.

Rahmamli`s painting ‘Baku morning’ reflects the joy of life and happiness.

“Every day begins in the morning, surrounded by beauty and noticing it in everything, a person becomes happier. In the early summer morning, the sun's rays, passing through the balcony with a slight breeze, come to you and gently wake with their warmth. And the swallows outside the window cheerfully call for a full the joy of life,” the artist said.
