The second Azerbaijan's Intellectual Game Championship, organized by IRELI Public Association and Azerbaijan Ministry of Youth and Sports, has been officially launched.

Addressing the opening ceremony, Chairman of IRELI Public Union Mirgasan Seyidov, Secretary general of IRELI Shahin Rahmanli, representative of the Executive Power of the Binagadi Shamsi Gyulverdiyev, project coordinator Tarlan Mammadli stressed that the state pays great attention to youth, creates all the conditions for the disclosure of creative potential and the realization of their ideas.

Young people from Binagadi, Yasamal, Khatai, Khazar, Narimanov, Nasimi, Nizami, Sabayl Surakhanins, Sabunchi and Garadagh districts took part in the qualifying regional round that started in Baku, Trend Life reported.

The victory went to representatives of Nizami district.

Absheron, Sumgayit and Khizi teams took part in Absheron regional tour. Absheron team was named the winner of the tour.

Guba, Shabran, Khachmaz, Gusar and Siyazan teams took part in the Guba regional tour. Guba team took the first place in the tour.

Terter regional tour was attended by the teams of Terter, Agdam, Fizuli. The winners were representatives of Terter region.

With the participation of 1,400 young people, intellectual games "What? Where? When?", "Khamsa", "Find" and "Know your country" will be held in seventy cities and country's regions.

Qualifying rounds will take place in nine country's regions, including Sumgayit, Guba, Terter, Ismayilli, Sheki, Mingachevir, Sabirabad, Lankaran and Nakhchivan.

Each city or region can be represented by only one team with 18 participants.

The best teams will take part in the final stage, which will be held in Baku.

The event will honor the memory of the Azerbaijan's national leader Heydar Aliyev. The winners will be awarded with medals, certificates and valuable prizes.
