Gala Ballet due in Baku

Azerbaijan’s State Opera and Ballet Theater will close its 108th theater season with Gala Ballet.
The ballets on the music of such famous composers as Peter Tchaikovsky, Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov, Charles-Camille Saint-Saëns, Ludwig Minkus, Maurice Ravel, Frédéric Chopin and others will be staged at the theatre on June21, Trend Life reported.
Theater's leading soloists will perform on the Baku stage.
The Gala ballet will be conducted by People’s Artist of Azerbaijan, Professor Yalchin Adigezalov.
In 2000, Adigezalov became the permanent conductor of Azerbaijan’s State Opera and Ballet Theater. Adigezalov led such famous performances as Magic Flute, La finta giardiniera,La Boheme, Tosca, Madame Butterfly,Il Tabarro Gianni Schicchi, Cavalleria Rusticana, Pagliacci, Carmen, Samson and Delilah, Aleko, The Queen of Spades, Prince Igor, Eugene Onegin Scheherazade, Romeo and Juliet and others.
