Famous tar player thrills Baku audience [PHOTO]

Azerbaijan’s State Philharmonic Hall hosted a solo concert of tar player Kamal Nuriyev on June 13.
Nuriyev performed works of the national classics, including Concerto No. 1 for tar and orchestra by Haji Khanmamedov, "Süzən qızlar" and "Aylı gecələr" by Jahangir Jahangirov, "Tarantella" by Suleiman Aleskerov, "Yandım elə yandım" by Ramiz Mirishli, "Rhapsody Chahargah" by Hasan Rzayev and mughams.
Kamal Nuriyev was accompanied by the Orchestra of Folk Musical Instruments named after Said Rustamov. The artistic director and chief conductor was Faig Sadikhov.
The gala concert received full attendance. The musician's performance was met with great acclaim.
"I am a soloist of the orchestra named after S. Rustamov and I had often played solo, but this is my first solo concert. I am very pleased and consider it as successful. I am very grateful to the TV channel "Culture" and the Philharmonic for giving me this opportunity," Nuriyev said while talking to Day. Az
The event was co-organized by Mədəniyyət’ TV channel, ‘Azerbaijan’ radio channel and the State Philharmonic with support of Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
