Personal belongings of the Major General of the Soviet army, Hajibaba Zeynalov, were donated to Azerbaijan’s National Museum of History, Trend Life reported.
Zeynalov’s dagger and wristwatch will be stored in the Museum’s Fund of gifts and memorabilia.
The handle of the dagger is decorated with symbol of the Soviet Union, the five-pointed red star. The inscriptions "1955" and "NM 0784 were engraved on the blade.
The watch was engraved with a dedication on the back: "To Major General Zeynalov on the 50th anniversary of the Armed Forces from the Minister of Defense of the USSR". "Shockproof. Dustproof. 2214".
Hajibaba Zeynalov was awarded the Order of Lenin, three orders of the Red Banner, the Order of the Red Star and other medals.
He was buried in the Alley of Honor.
