Azerbaijani youth to join World Festival

Azerbaijani youth have been invited to the 19th World Festival of Youth and Students that will be held in the Russian city of Sochi next October, Azertac reported.
More than 30,000 young people from all around the world will come to Sochi to participate in this great event.
Yelena Mondrus, head of “International Youth Center” department of international programs at Russia's Federal Agency for Youth Affairs' said they will be happy to welcome Azerbaijani delegation at the festival.
Speaking at the 7th Azerbaijani-Russian Interregional Forum in Baku, she said that over hundred people from Azerbaijan will join the festival.
The World Festival of Youth and Students has been active since 1947. In 1957 and 1985, the Festival was held in Moscow. The 1957 Festival was the biggest event which united 34,000 delegates from 131 countries.
In 2017, the organizers expect around 30,000 from 150 countries to attend the event.
