Italian Festival due in Baku

The Italian Embassy in Baku will organize the Italian Festival of Fashion and Design as part of celebrations in connection with the Week of Italian Language in the World.
The exciting festival will be held in Baku on November 3-4, the embassy reported.
The event will take place in Rotunda Room at the Landmark Business Center.
A fashion and jewellery show, press-conference, a display of Italian brands and concert will be organized on the first day of the festival.
On the second day, Azerbaijani companies will showcase Italian brands.
The Week for Italian Language in the World was organized for the first time in 2001. This event, which takes place in the third week of October each year, is central to the promotion of the Italian language abroad.
Every year the initiative, normally held in October, chooses a specific theme, a particular sector of linguistic usage.
The event has had a rising success year after year, with a growing number of participants and events suited to all members of the public, demonstrating the vitality of the interest in the Italian language and culture throughout the whole world.
