The Basangov Kalmyk National Drama Theater has successfully completed its tour in Azerbaijan.
The final performance of the Theatre was held at the Youth Theatre featuring the plays "Three little pigs" by Yuri Shutskoy, "Dearers" by Baatr Basangov, " A case worthy of admiration" by Vera Shugraliyeva and Ali Amirli, Trend Life reported.
The play " Dearers", staged by theater's director Boris Madjiyev brought together Azerbaijani and Russian artists.
This unique collaboration was met with great interest of the audience.
Boris Mandzhiev thanked the theatre management and the audience for warm welcome.
The collaboration between the Azerbaijan State Youth Theatre and the Basangov Kalmyk National Drama Theater will be continued.
Azerbaijan State Theatre of Young Spectators was established on March 15, 1927, in Baku, on the basis of Children's Theatre and artistic amateur drama circles of students. The "Storm" play written on initiative of 14-year-old Aghadadash Gurbanov laid the foundation of the Children Theater.
