Qazvin-Rasht railway to be launched this year
“Qazvin-Rasht railway that will link Iran’s Gilan province with other ones will be launched this year,” said Gilan’s Deputy Governor Mohammed Houssein Asgarean, Azertac state news agency reports.
According to him, Gilan is situated in the suitable geographical position.
An agreement to prolong Qazvin-Rasht railway to Azerbaijani Astara was also reached.
According to the agreement, Qazvin-Rasht (Iran)-Astara (Azerbaijan) railway will link the railway systems of the two countries.
