Garadagh Cement boosting output to raise market share
Garadagh Cement, Azerbaijan`s biggest cement
producer, will bring its production to around 1.3 million tons this
year, boosting its market share in the domestic market to 35%, the
company said.
Moreover, work is in full swing to build a new kiln at the plant that will increase annual output capacity to 1.7 million tons. Total investment in the project, including the plant`s upgrade, is about 300 million euros. This investment program will allow Garadagh Cement to continue supplying quality products to the country`s construction sector while meeting the highest environmental standards.
Garadagh Cement also said it continued operating as usual and without any breaks, dismissing recent media reports about its closure in light of the global crisis. The company said the unfounded reports had caused not only concerns of its clients, consumers and partners, but also resentment among its staff.
Garadagh Cement management appealed to the representatives of mass media "with an urgent request to avoid any spread of inauthentic information" and directly contact the company`s communication service regarding any questions related to the activity of the plant.
