By Amina Nazarli
WizzAir company, the largest low-fare, low-cost airline in Central and Eastern Europe, postponed the flights from Baku to Europe, the company told Trend on March 17.
Earlier, the company announced about initiating flights from Baku to Budapest in April. But online booking of tickets for April is not available now. It was expected that the flights would be carried out twice a week.
A Baku-Budapest-Baku ticket is 160 euros on the official website of the company.
The company said that the previously purchased tickets can be changed for other dates. The company also offers to pay compensation amounting to 20 percent of the ticket price.
"The flights are expected to be resumed from May 4," the company said.
The first Baku-Budapest direct flight opened on June 2013. As of January 2014, the passenger traffic exceeded 14,000 people on Budapest-Budapest-Baku route within six months.
