Azerbaijan to establish industrial parks in large cities

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has signed an executive order to implement an industrial program.
The State Program for the Development of Industry in 2015-2020 says Azerbaijan will establish some industrial parks in Ganja and Mingachevir cities in 2015-2018.
Based on the program, Azerbaijani Economy and Industry Ministry, State Committee on Property Issues, as well as executive powers of the Ganja and Mingachevir cities are responsible for the establishment of the industrial parks.
The state program also instructs the Economy and Industry Ministry, State Committee on Standardization, Metrology and Patents, as well as Ministry of Communication and High Technologies to develop proposals on the creation of national brands and their promotion in the markets.
This program also envisages establishment of relative associations for various industrial sectors.
The program involves creating new industrial capacities, in particular, the establishment of polymer plant in Sumgayit chemical industrial park, launching the plant on carbamide production, the facilities on sorting, transportation and recycling of waste and others.
Under the presidential order, the Cabinet of Ministers should ensure the implementation of the state program.
