BSE diversifies its financial assets
The Baku Stock Exchange JSC (BSE) decided to diversify the
internal financial assets through capital market instruments.
Thus, the BSE, providing for the first time the liquidity on the
market maker's side, has made investments in domestic bonds, the
BSE reported on October 3.
The agreements were inked with the brokers of the Pasha Capital
Ltd. and Invest-AZ in order to receive the needed professional
services.
The BSE said the local bond market has more favourable conditions
for both effective interest rate and maturity period, as compared
to those for the bank deposits.
Also, the market value of majority of corporate bonds, traded at
the BSE, has already been formed, and a market maker's presence in
the financial institute's market provides the liquidity of invested
funds.
The BSE plans to continue to pursue its investment policy for an
efficient allocation of financial assets benefiting from the
opportunities created in the capital market.
