E-commerce market grows 10.2 pct in 7 months
As of January-July of 2014, the volume of retail e-commerce turnover in Azerbaijan increased by 10.2 percent and amounted to 1.5 million manats, compared to the same period of 2013, according to the report of Azerbaijan's State Statistical Committee.
The participants of the e-commerce market are legal entities and individuals who are implementing electronic commerce and buyers of goods and services.
Out of the consumer goods purchased by the population in electronic form 78.3 percent was bought on trade networks of legal entities and 21.7 percent was purchased on trade networks of individuals.
Non-food products accounted for 90.3 percent of e-commerce market turnover.
