Int'l travel, tourism fair to open in Baku

Baku will host the Azerbaijan International Travel and Tourism Fair, AITF 2014, for the 13th time on April 3-5.

Nearly 300 companies from 38 participating countries and more than 80 tourism destinations will attend the exhibition, Project Manager Khayal Aliyeva said.

The exhibition will include 23 stands showcasing national and regional expositions of France, Italy, Malaysia, Montenegro, Hungary, Indonesia, Georgia, Bulgaria, Morocco, the Dominican Republic, Argentina, India, Mauritius, Turkey, Slovenia, Greece, the Czech Republic, Thailand, China, Egypt, Azerbaijan, the Stavropol Region, the Department of Tourism of Sochi and the Department of Tourism of Zagreb.

The exhibition, which traditionally opens the summer tourist season in the country, will take place in the Baku Expo Center, and showcase more than 60 hotels from 22 regions of Azerbaijan.

This year, the exhibition will open such new exhibition sectors as Real Estate and Medical Tourism sectors, presented by companies and leading clinics from Turkey, Germany, Switzerland, Israel, Russia, Lithuania, Greece and Cyprus.

AITF will create an opportunity for visitors to receive maximum interaction and business communications, learn about the latest offers from the leading tour operators and hoteliers, join the main meeting place of the tourism community, discover new countries and destinations, find out useful information from seminars and presentations, and acquire new ideas and experiences.
