E-commerce in Azerbaijan hit 2.3 mln manat
The State Statistical Committee of Azerbaijan issued data on online retail turnover for 11 months of 2013.
According to the data, the volume of consumer goods sold to the population in the retail market amounted to 2.3 million manat in January-November of 2013.
The figure is 1.6 times higher than the same period of 2012.
Out of the consumer goods purchased by the population in electronic form 83.0 percent was bought on trade networks of legal entities and 17.0 percent was purchased on trade networks of individuals.
During the reporting period, non-food products accounted for 89.6 percent of e-commerce market turnover.
