Int’l Holcim competition opens for entries in Azerbaijan
International Holcim Awards competition to promote sustainable construction has opened for entries in Azerbaijan, Azertag state news agency reported on July 2.
The Holcim Awards is open to architects, planners, engineers, project owners, builders and construction firms with current projects that showcase sustainable responses to technological, environmental, socioeconomic and cultural issues of contemporary building and construction.
The accepted areas for projects are sustainable building and civil engineering works; landscape, urban design and infrastructure projects; and materials, products and construction technologies.
In addition, the Holcim Awards competition seeks visions and ideas for the "Next Generation" (student category), open to projects created within any university program at final year bachelor level or above (including masters and PhD).
It is the mission of the Holcim Foundation to select and support initiatives that combine sustainable construction solutions with architectural excellence and enhanced quality of life beyond technical solutions.
