Turkey triples GDP for 10 years

Turkey's GDP has increased by three times for the last 10 years, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Taner Yildiz said at a meeting of the World Economic Forum (Davos Forum) in Baku on Monday.

This testifies to the successful development of the Turkish economic sector, Yildiz said.

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev attended the event. He delivered a speech at the forum.

The voting on how the participants see the future of the South Caucasus and Central Asia was held at the forum.

Some 62.3 per cent of participants voted for integration, 22 per cent - the fragmentation and 15.7 per cent - the polarization of regions.

A video clip on the development of the South Caucasus region was demonstrated at the meeting.
