A regular meeting of the Azerbaijani-Greek Intergovernmental Commission on Cooperation is planned to be held in Baku on 6 March, the Azerbaijani Industry and Energy Ministry reported.

The preparations were the subject of the talks between Industry and Energy Minister and Intergovernmental Commission Co-Chairman Natig Aliyev and Greek Ambassador to Azerbaijan Ioannis Metaxas.

Ambassador Metaxas claimed that expansion of cooperation, particularly in the field of oil transportation, will be discussed in the next meeting.

"Greece is ready to assist Azerbaijan in this issue," he said.

Earlier in January, the Greek Government outlined ways to expand cooperation with Azerbaijan.

Azerbaijan already examined the prospects of creating its own oil fleet and attracted the Greek experts for advice on this issue.

Also it was reported that, Greek Deputy Foreign Minister Demetrios Kourkoulas is to visit Baku on March 6-8 to join the Commission's meeting.

The Azerbaijani-Greek business forum also planned within the meeting and is expected to involve about 50 Greek businessmen.
