WB mission visits Azerbaijani chemical producer
Representatives of the World Bank`s mission visited on Tuesday Azerbaijani state-run chemical producer Azerkimya in Sumgayit to meet the leadership of the company.
Sumgayit is located about 30km north of the capital Baku.
The meeting focused on the role of Sumgayit industrial center in Azerbaijan`s economy, Azerkimya`s activity and its development prospects.
It was noted that Sumgayit had become an industrial center of Azerbaijan. The modern Technology Park, Guntex plant that produces installations for natural energy sources, chemical industrial park and carbamide plant were launched in Sumgayit in recent years.
The World Bank`s delegation hailed the chemical producer`s activity and expressed their interest in cooperation with Azerbaijan in establishment of new industrial parks.
