Over 200 companies penalized over tax evasion
Over 200 companies have been held accountable over tax evasion in
2007, Minister of Taxes Fazil Mammadov said.
Mammadov told reporters that some local and foreign companies had dodged tax payments to the tune of $10 million.
Numerous cases of tax evasion were observed in the construction sector.
"Although apartments are sold for a high price, construction companies pay less tax," the minister said.
