Azerbaijan to start to receive taxes through mobile phones
Ministry of Taxes of Azerbaijan holds measures to introduce tax payment through mobile phones, head of the Economic Analysis and State Registration of Businesses Entities Main Department Natig Shirinov said,Trend news agency reported.
"Payments via mobile phones accounted for 28 percent of all electronic payments in the world. It is expected that this figure will reach 34 percent in 2013," Shirinov said.
Ministry launches the reception of duties and taxes via plastic cards in April 2012.
"More than 100,000 transactions, the total amount of which exceeded 70 million manat, are carried out through the website of the Ministry of Taxes and government portal payments (www.apus.az)," Shirinov said.
