Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and his spouse Mehriban Aliyeva on Monday attended a ceremony to inaugurate a five-star Four Seasons Hotel in the capital Baku.

President Aliyev cut a ribbon symbolizing the opening of the hotel, and toured it.

The Baku facility, located on the Caspian seashore, is the Four Seasons hotels network's 90th in the world. The hotel has 171 rooms, including 27 de luxe and two presidential suites.

The facility also has banquet halls, five conference halls, a swimming pool, sports center, Jaleh Spa, Piazza Lounge, Bentley bar, Zafferano and Kaspia restaurants.

Four Seasons Hotel Baku is particularly unique due to national elements in its design. It is not by mere chance that all of the hotel`s halls have been named after the magic Mugham (national folk music) tunes.

The hotel employs 350 people.

Four Seasons Hotel Baku is another luxurious five-star hotel opened in Azerbaijan in recent years, along with Kempinski, Marriott, Hilton, Sheraton and Fairmont hotels.
