Oil fund creates gold reserves
Azerbaijani state oil fund Sofar, which holds the resource-rich South Caucasus republic`s revenues from crude exports, has begun buying gold and purchased 2.804 tons (90,143 ounces) of the precious metal in the first quarter of 2012, Sofar said in a report released last week.
