First-ever Marriott hotel opens in Baku
The first-ever hotel of major Marriott International Inc company in Azerbaijan opened in the capital Baku on Sunday in a ceremony attended by President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva.
The JW Marriott Absheron Baku is located in the Baku city centre, on the Azadliq Square, nearby the seaside park (boulevard).
The luxury hotel features 243 rooms with a view to the Caspian Sea. It has a restaurant offering food of Oriental, Italian and other cuisines, bars and cafes, a spa center, as well as 13 conference halls. An underground crossing is also being built to connect the hotel`s patio with the boulevard.
