IMF lowers Azerbaijan economic growth forecast for 2012

The International Monetary Fund predicts that Azerbaijan’s economy will see a 5.7 percent growth in 2012, down from 7.1 percent projected earlier.

The IMF said its forecast is due to the country’s 2012 budget being based on an average oil price of $80 a barrel, while average world crude prices are expected to exceed $100.
